Food:

Start with a cheese board and a cheese knife, then swing by your local grocery store, and grab an assortment of cheeses.

Carrying:

Pack all of your fixings in a fun picnic basket to make transporting everything easier.

Candles:

You'll get a warm glow to light your picnic area. For an added bonus, choose one with citronella to keep the mosquitoes and flies at bay.

Games:

Keep everyone in the family busy with a game of kickball, a fun scavenger hunt, Frisbee®, or a water balloon toss.

Drinks:

Mix it up by bringing seltzer water or low-or no-sugar added fruit drinks. Remember to pack ice to keep your beverages cold and refreshing.

Locations:

Head to your local park and practice your picnic strategy. Here are some of our favorites:

Utah: Liberty Park, Antelope Island, Sugar House Park, Jordan Park

Idaho: Julia Davis Park, Ann Morrison Park, Esther Simplot Park, Winstead Park
