Slow Cooker Apple Butter in 6 Steps

  Slow cooker
Apple peeler, corer, slicer
18 apples (or enough to fill a 6 qt. slow cooker)
1 ½ tsp. vanilla
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 ½ cups sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar


  1. Peel, core, and slice apples.
  2. Put apple slices in the slow cooker and add vanilla.
  3. Cook on low for 8 hours.
  4. Mash apples and add cinnamon and sugars.
  5. Cook on low for 6 additional hours.
  6. Once fully cooked, process the mixture in a blender until smooth.
