Select Health Medicare Flexible Benefits Card Update

Select Health Medicare members with a January 1 start date should have received their 2023 Select Health Medicare Flexible Benefits cards. We’re excited to have your clients easily access multiple benefits through this new feature!

Member Assistance

How the Card Works

Select Health Medicare members can use this card to pay for eligible products and approved services that are included in Wellness Your Way and Over-the-Counter (OTC) benefits. Members' Healthy Living Rewards will also credit to their cards after they complete certain wellness activities.

Benefits Include:

  • Wellness Your Way benefit to spend on a wide range of health education classes or gym memberships. Visit our Wellness Your Way page for more information.
  • Healthy Living Incentives for keeping up with wellness activities like annual routine physicals and flu shots. Visit our Healthy Living page to learn more.
  • Over-the-Counter (OTC) allowance to spend on over-the-counter items. Get the details on our OTC page.

Members who elected to receive communications and material by email, received a message on January 19 from Select Health Medicare on how to use the Select Health Medicare Flexible Benefits card and will be receiving additional information in the mail. View the Flex Card Benefits Newsletter here.

Don’t Forget About our Agent Expense Reimbursement Program!

We’re excited to continue our agent expense reimbursement program in 2023. The program covers allowable services and administrative expenses, in addition to benefits enrollment, beginning January 1, 2023 through December 1, 2023.


After enrolling five new policies, agents receive $500 in marketing support, with an additional $100 in support for each additional enrollment.

As a reminder, as a 5-star rated plan, Medicare members may switch from their current Medicare coverage option to a Select Health Medicare plan at any time between December 8, 2022 and November 30, 2023, using the 5-star SEP. As a result, you can sell Select Health Medicare plans all year long!

This program is in accordance with current Third-Party Marketing Organization (TMO) rules established by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Medicare Managed Care Manual (MMCM).

Select Health Medicare Dual, Our Dual Special Needs Plan (D-SNP)

Our D-SNP is designed for those who qualify for Medicare and full Medicaid. Members must have permanent residence in Davis, Salt Lake, Utah, or Weber county and be over the age of 21 years old.

You’ll find the Medicare Advantage D-SNP Benefit Comparison table in Select Health Link Agent Resources. This document must accompany the enrollment form when enrolling a client in a D-SNP product. Under Agent Tools, choose Agent Resources. Use the filter in the left-hand column to select Utah, 2023, and Medicare. This document is under the Sales Tools section. You may wish to add the SEP opportunity to enroll in a D-SNP (Medicaid qualification) if you already have Medicaid benefits, or become eligible, you can enroll in a SNP at any time. Medicare Book of Business Reconciliation

February is an excellent time to reconcile your book of business with Select Health by verifying new and renewing clients who are assigned to you in the Medicare Member Status report. To access the report, please follow these instructions:

  • After logging in to the Select Health Link agent portal, under the Medicare heading, click on Medicare Member Status.
  • The report can be customized to search for a specific enrollment status and/or range of coverage effective dates. You may choose between PDF and Excel formats for the report. Be sure to select a date range that will include effective dates of coverage for the members you wish to view.

Medicare Member Status Report

The Select Health Link agent portal provides helpful resources to aid agents with managing their book of business. By using the Medicare Member Status Report, you have access to application status, policy issue dates, and more.

To locate this report, hover over Medicare on the main landing page of Select Health Link. The report defaults to Excel, but can also be generated into a PDF format. Adjust the effective date to determine the time frame of data you want to view. Using the Status drop-down, you can choose to view all activity or select a specific status. This report includes member contact information, ID numbers, and more. For questions related to membership, utilize our Agent Information Line by calling 800-442-5306.

Medicare Member Services Hours Extended

Member Services, supporting our Medicare Advantage members, has extended business hours to include Sundays beginning October 1 through March 31. Phone lines are open from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. To contact Member Services, call 800-538-5038.
