Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) Updates

ACIP is a committee within the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that provides advice and guidance on effective control of vaccine-preventable diseases in the U.S. civilian population. Made up of medical and public health experts who develop recommendations that serve as public health guidance for safe use of vaccines and related biological products.

The committee meets typically three times each year to review and approve vaccine guidance. An overview of decisions made at each meeting is featured in Provider Insight; below are full, downloadable reports from meetings held in:

Preventive Care Guidelines

A key to prevention for adults is having recommended cancer screenings, especially colorectal cancer screening for adults ages 45 to 75. Click here for help with determining which screening approach fits specific patients and implementing appropriate screenings. 

Language Services

Select Health offers interpreters to support a variety of patient needs. If you have a patient that is deaf, blind, have a hard time hearing or speaking, or if they speak a language other than English, call Member Services at 800-538-5038 to obtain access to someone who can communicate with your patient free of charge.
