Select Health Receives 4.5 Medicare Advantage Star Rating

CMS recently updated Select Health’s 2026 Medicare Advantage Star Rating from 3.5 to 4.5 Stars following a nationwide recalculation of Medicare Advantage Star Ratings.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) uses Star Ratings to evaluate the quality and performance of Medicare Advantage plans. Ratings are based on a variety of measures, including preventive care, chronic condition management, medication adherence, member experience, customer service, and health outcomes.

These ratings help Medicare beneficiaries compare health plans and understand how well plans support access to care, quality outcomes, and member satisfaction.

Why this matters for providers

The updated 4.5 Star Rating now qualifies Select Health for Quality Bonus Payments. These payments help support investments in quality improvement, care coordination, member outreach, benefit design, and provider-facing programs that make it easier for members to get recommended care.

For providers, this can translate into continued resources and support for closing care gaps, improving member experience, and strengthening outcomes across Medicare populations.

Thank you for all you do to support Select Health Medicare members in managing their health and making a difference in the communities you serve.
