Get a Ride
If you need help getting to the hospital in an emergency, or if you don’t have a way to get to your doctor’s office, Medicaid can help.
If you have Traditional Medicaid, you may be able to get a ride to the doctor when it is not an emergency. To find out if you can get help, call the Medicaid hotline at 800-662-9651. See the Medicaid Member Guide for details.
In an emergency, Medicaid will cover an ambulance. Call 911 for an ambulance and go to the closest hospital. Air ambulance services are covered when a ground ambulance can’t get you to the hospital fast enough.
2-1-1: Find Help
If you are in need of work, food, addiction prevention programs, housing, support groups, or other help, call 2-1-1. Help is private and free. Visit the 2-1-1 website.
