CAA reporting deadline
To help your groups meet the requirements of the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) or RxDC, we request prescription drug reporting information from groups that were insured with Select Health at any time during the 2023 calendar year. We submit all data and required narratives on an aggregate level for the benefits we administer for our fully insured and self-funded clients. Select Health self-funded clients can choose to submit their applicable data to CMS directly. Self-funded clients who choose to report their own data must notify Select Health IN WRITING no later than April 12, 2024.

Waiting periods. New employees can be added to a group plan at any time once they’ve completed their New Hire Waiting Period (NHWP). New employees have 31 days from their initial eligibility date to apply for coverage, with their effective date being the first day of the calendar month following the end of the NHWP. Please note, late enrollment could result in a new employee not being added to the plan.
Federal insurance regulations allow no more than a two-month waiting period not exceeding 90 days. This means an employee hired on the first of the month with a two-month NHWP would need to be enrolled on day 90, not day 91.
