Individual Plans Helpful Hints

  • Agents should have an in-depth understanding of the insurance plans they represent including provider and facility networks. If you have questions or feel you need additional training, please reach out to your account manager.
  • While we're well past the Individual Plans open enrollment, those with qualifying events are eligible for a special enrollment period (SEP). Depending on the type of SEP, individuals may have 60 days before or 60 days following the event to enroll in a plan. Questions regarding SEPs? Contact Individual Sales at 800-442-5306, option 2.
  • When enrolling individuals through the Marketplace, Nevada Health Link, or Your Health Idaho (YHI), it’s imperative to report income accurately, and to encourage your clients to report any income changes that occur during the year. Failure to do so can put the individual at risk for tax implications.
  • Members who don’t qualify for—or choose not to utilize a subsidy—through the Marketplace, Nevada Health Link, or Your Health Idaho (YHI) can be written directly through the Link agent portal.   • Agents can enroll individuals applying for coverage in Utah using their HealthSherpa account. Locate training resources in the Agent Resources section of Link below the Agent Tools heading. Use the search box in the upper left-hand corner and enter HealthSherpa.
