Smith Entertainment Group (SEG) today announced the new name of the Utah Mammoth practice facility in Sandy, Utah as the Select Health Ice Center. Select Health, Intermountain Health’s nonprofi t health plan, serves more than 1.1 million members across the Mountain West and is the exclusive health insurance for the Utah Mammoth and Utah Jazz. New Select Health Ice Center signage will be installed on the exterior of the building and several spaces throughout the facility are now co-branded.
- The Select Health Ice Center is the state-of-the-art headquarters and practice facility of the NHL’s Utah Mammoth.
- Opened in Sept. 2025, the 146,000-square-foot facility is equipped with an extensive array of cutting-edge technology, modern equipment and player amenities and boasts two NHL-regulation size ice sheets.
- The facility is also a hub for youth and recreational programs, hosting open skates, practices, tournaments and clinics on a daily basis after Mammoth practices.
- The Select Health Ice Center serves as an anchor on the burgeoning campus in Sandy where SEG’s corporate offices are located and where a new, world-class practice facility for the NBA’s Utah Jazz is being built. In May 2026, SEG announced a landmark partnership to make Intermountain Health the official healthcare partner for the Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth and Select Health the exclusive health insurance provider for both teams.
- Through the agreement, Intermountain Health provides comprehensive care for both teams, including injury prevention, orthopedic care, rehabilitation, performance optimization, reconditioning and functional recovery support.
- The Intermountain Health Sports Performance Center will open adjacent to the Select Health Ice Center and future Utah Jazz facility in 2028. The 60,000-square-foot facility will significantly expand access to sports medicine services, primary care and advanced diagnostics to every level of athlete in the community.
