Select Health today announced that it is accepting submissions for the 2026 Select Health Awards, recognizing community organizations across Idaho, Nevada, and Utah that are advancing health, wellness, and quality of life.
From grassroots initiatives to established community programs, organizations across each state are leading locally driven solutions to address challenges such as access to healthcare and related services, food security, housing stability, and mental and physical well-being. The Select Health Awards highlight these efforts by recognizing work that demonstrates collaboration, sustainability, and measurable impact at the community level.
Community organizations — including nonprofits, grassroots groups, associations, and other locally led entities — are encouraged to apply. New for 2026, only organizations with an annual operating budget of less than $1 million are eligible to apply, expanding opportunities for smaller and emerging organizations to be recognized. Additionally, for Idaho, the awards are only available to applicants in Southern Idaho, which includes all counties south of Idaho County.
Select Health established the awards to recognize and support organizations whose work removes barriers to care and strengthen their communities. In 2026, Select Health will award $5,000 to ten organizations in each state. Award funds may be used to support existing initiatives, expand services, or pilot new approaches that address community health needs.
“The most effective solutions are often led by the local community,” said Emily Allen, community relations coordinator at Select Health. “The Select Health Awards are designed to recognize those ideas and help them grow — especially the work happening at a local level that may not always receive broader visibility.”
Since launching the program in 2008, the Select Health Awards have contributed more than $1 million to community organizations across the Mountain West. Past recipients have used the funding to expand access to nutritious food, improve preventive care, increase access to critical healthcare services, strengthen housing stability, and address other social drivers of health.
“We’ve seen award recipients use this support to expand access to services, strengthen partnerships, and respond to growing community health needs,” Allen said. “That kind of real- world impact is what the Select Health Awards are meant to encourage.”
Select Health’s mission to help people live the healthiest lives possible is at the core of the awards program, which recognizes and invests in organizations making meaningful and measurable impact throughout local communities in Idaho, Nevada, and Utah.
Applications will be accepted January 1 through February 28, 2026, or until 200 submissions are received in each state. Eligible organizations can apply online at selecthealthawards.org.
