Financial Assistance

Healthcare can be expensive—but we want to help you find ways to get the care you need. Consider these ways you can make healthcare more affordable or get help paying for basic needs:

Lower the Cost of Your Plan

  • Choose the Right Plan – Be sure to choose the plan that’s right for you and your family. Follow our tips for choosing the right plan. Consider a High Deductible Health Plan with a Health Savings Account (HSA).
  • Tax Credits and Cost-Sharing Reductions – Depending on your income and family size (or if you are an Alaska Native or American Indian), you may qualify for a premium subsidy or cost-sharing reduction.
    • Advance Premium Tax Credits (APTC) – This subsidy can reduce your monthly health insurance premium. To get it, you must buy your health insurance through the Marketplace—but you can still choose a Select Health plan.
    • Cost-sharing Reduction – This is a discount on what you pay toward cost-sharing amounts—this means you would pay less for copays, coinsurance, and deductibles. A cost-sharing reduction may also lower your out-of-pocket maximum.

TIP: Choosing a plan is complicated, and what might seem like the best price could have hidden costs. Don’t feel alone—get help choosing the right plan, whether it’s with us or someone else. Call our friendly Sales team at 855-903-2811.

  • Utah's Premium Partnership for Health Insurance (UPP) – This program can make health insurance more affordable for working individuals and families. UPP helps you pay your monthly health insurance premiums through your employer’s health insurance plan.

Apply for Income Help and Financial Services

  • Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) The Department of Workforce Services financial assistance program can help you increase your family or personal income by helping you find a job or, where appropriate, get child support and disability payments.

This cash assistance combined with supportive services and personalized case management is meant to help eligible families and individuals achieve economic self-sufficiency and enhance the well-being of children.

  • General Assistance (GA) program – This program provides limited cash assistance and case management services to single adults and married couples who have no dependent children residing with them 50% or more of the time.
