SelectHealth FEHB members have access to the Select Med network in Utah and the St. Luke's Health Partners/BrightPath network in Idaho.
Traveling Outside the Service Area
In an effort to reduce out-of-pocket expenses for members when they have emergencies, we have an arrangement with the MultiPlan and PHCS networks. These providers and facilities have agreed to accept an allowed amount for covered services. If possible, use them for urgent or emergency care when traveling outside the service area.
Out-of-Area Dependent Coverage
Dependent children who live outside the service area will receive participating benefits for covered services when they use Select Med providers in Utah, BrightPath in Idaho, and Multiplan or Private Healthcare Systems (PHCS) outside of Utah or Idaho. Members must inform SelectHealth (through a dependent address change form) if they have a dependent residing outside the service area in order to receive this coverage. Otherwise, service access outside the service area is limited to only those services that meet the definition of urgent or emergency care. Subscriber, spouse, and dependent child(ren) living within the service area are not eligible for these extended out-of-area benefits.
