Changes to Select Health’s Pharmacy Network.
As of January 1, 2025, CVS pharmacies are no longer considered in-network. CVS proposed a new payment model starting next year that would shift more cost responsibility for prescription drugs to our members. As a result, we have made the decision not to renew our contract with CVS.
Please use the information below to help inform your clients of the upcoming change. For more detailed information, please refer to this FAQ page.
How does this change affect Select Health members?
- No Anticipated Impact: For members who do not use CVS pharmacies.
- Recommended Action: Members using CVS pharmacies should:
- Change their preferred pharmacy to an in-network option.
- Use the member portal or this link to find in-network pharmacies: selecthealth.org/pharmacy/pharmacy-resources or Scripius.org/members/resources.
Contact the new pharmacy for assistance in transferring existing prescriptions. An in-network pharmacy is available within a three-mile radius of all CVS locations.
New Product Announcement.
We’re excited to announce the launch of our new Utah Level Funded product for Small Employers.
Select Health’s level funding product is designed as an easy-to-implement health benefit solution. This is a good option for employers who currently don’t offer a health plan, those on a fully insured product, or a smaller self-funded group that wants better cash flow protection or easier plan administration through a level funded product.
We’ve collaborated with Silicon Slopes, an organization with deep experience with new tech companies that are struggling to compete for top-notch employees. Silicon Slopes realized that new tech companies are challenged to provide health insurance to employees as costs continue to increase. They saw a challenge in finding a creative solution to help these employers AND keep health care dollars local. This solution is Silicon Slopes Health Plans. Silicon invited Select Health, as Utah’s largest health plan, to join them in this important work.
This arrangement with Silicon Slopes and Select Health is NOT an association health plan with multiple employers joining the same plan. Instead, each employer maintains its own health plan. All employer types are welcome; no membership is required, there is no fee to sell, and all commissions belong to the agent of record.
We are the Intermountain network option in Utah for the Silicon Level Funded plan. Any group that is not currently with Select Health in another line of business can purchase a Level Funded plan option through Silicon Slopes. Silicon provides quoting help and can act as additional support to agents for no additional cost in servicing their Level Funded groups. Agents do not have to go through Silicon if they are already familiar with Level Funded plans and quoting in Link.
If a group is already with Select Health and wanting to quote our new Level Funded plan options, you can simply do that through Link direct with Select Health. These groups do not go through Silicon Slopes Health Plans.
Groups and agents will continue to get the same great service from their Select Health Account Managers and Service Coordinators who will continue to be involved in sales, servicing, renewals, etc.
Watch for opportunities to participate in upcoming training about the Select Health Level Funded product.

Tips to support member onboarding.
We know healthcare is complicated and navigating a new health plan can be confusing. Here are a few tips to help your clients make the most of their Select Health benefits.
Create an online Select Health account. Members have real-time access to manage their plan, understand their benefits, and find care. Encourage your clients to set up their online account to find plan information and tools (depending upon plan) to review their summary of benefits/MPS, download ID cards, track deductibles and claims, set communication preferences, estimate costs, and more. New members can set up their online account PRIOR to their effective date. Create an online account, or visit the Apple AppStore or Google Play to download the mobile app to access their health plan from anywhere. Get Started
Select a Primary Care Doctor (PCP). This is a requirement for some plans and markets and strongly recommended for others. Selecting a PCP is the first step to tap into preventive benefits covered at 100% (services may vary depending on plan). Access the Find a Doctor search from a member’s online account or Select Health’s mobile app. Select a PCP
Medicare members: Complete a Health Risk Assessment. Completion of this survey is expected for both new members and each year for returning members. Complete the HRA within 14 days of the member’s enrollment to be eligible for a $50 incentive. Dual-Eligible Special Needs Plan (DSNP) members can also earn a $50 reward for completing their HRA. Questions? Call 855-801-0141. Complete HRA online.
Medicare members: Access Flexible Benefits. Encourage members to create their NationsBenefits Pro portal account or download the mobile app to manage and use benefits. Visit the Flex Card page on our website for information and new videos.
