Active Your Way

Some Select Health Medicare plans include a yearly Active Your Way allowance to support your unique health journey. Use it to pay for approved healthy physical activities that enhance your physical well-being.

Approved Wellness Activities Include:

  • Physical activities
  • Athletic clubs
  • League fees
  • Virtual monthly fitness memberships
  • Memory fitness
  • Weight management
  • Fitness trackers

Some activities, services, and items are not covered, such as:

  • Fitness equipment, apparel, or accessories purchased for personal or home use
  • Purchase of meals or supplements
  • Alternative or holistic education services
  • Nations/State park passes
  • Hunting/Fishing licenses
  • Campsite fees

Important Note About Active Your Way
Some plans combine the Active Your Way benefit with other benefits. Check the Evidence of Coverage for more information.

Active Your Way is available on certain Select Health Medicare plans. If your plan includes this benefit, you can use your Benefits Mastercard® Prepaid Card to pay for approved wellness activities and services. Your plan provides an allowance that you choose how to spend.

You can manage your Wellness Your Way allowance by:

Once logged in, you can easily:

  • Review spending allowance balances and expiration dates
  • Review transaction history
  • Submit an Active Your Way reimbursement request

Use your Benefits Mastercard® Prepaid Card when checking out at an approved retail location. Swipe your card for payment and select “credit” when prompted. Selecting “debit” will decline the transaction. 

Your Active Your Way allowance is available through the current plan year and must be used by December 31. Any unused funds will not carry over into the next year, so be sure to take full advantage of your benefit before the deadline.

If your Benefits Mastercard® Prepaid Card (Flex Card) is declined, call NationsBenefits at 833-878-0232 (TTY: 711) and provide the date of your purchase or activity. A Member Experience Advisor will help investigate the reason for the declined transaction. Advisors are available daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time.

If you paid for an approved Active Your Way activity and your transaction was declined, you may request for the merchant to be added to the Flex Card and submit a reimbursement request for an out-of-pocket purchase online through the Benefits Pro Portal at selecthealth.nationsbenefits.com. Reimbursements must be submitted by March 31 of the next plan year.
