Medicare Updates August 2026

It’s time to get certified for 2027: Product training is open

Annual certification for Select Health Medicare plans is here. To be ready to sell 2027 plans, complete both your CMS-compliant certification and Select Health product training. Finishing early helps you stay ready for day one of the selling season.

Here’s what you need to complete:

Start with AHIP or NABIP

  • Select Health accepts both AHIP and NABIP certification.
  • When you complete your training, electronically transmit your results to Select Health so we receive your certification automatically. You do not need to send a separate certificate.
  • Use this link to get started with AHIP: ahipmedicaretraining.com/clients/selecthealth

Complete Select Health product training

  • Use the direct email you received with your training link or here.
  • You do not need to log in to Link to complete the training.
  • Follow all instructions and save your completion certificate for your records.
  • Product training must be completed by December 31, 2026.

Star Rating update: Select Health Medicare now rated 4.5 out of 5 Stars

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has updated the 2026 Star Ratings for Select Health Medicare (HMO) plans to 4.5 out of 5 Stars, better reflecting the high-quality care, service, and member experience we provide.

As a result of this update, the 2026 Star Rating document used during meetings with beneficiaries has been revised. Please replace any previously saved copies to ensure you are sharing the most current CMS-approved information with your clients.

You can view and access the updated 2026 Star Rating information on the Select Health Medicare website.

Thank you for your continued partnership and for helping beneficiaries make informed Medicare decisions.

Preparing for the Annual Notice of Change

We will mail Annual Notice of Change (ANOC) documents to all current Select Health Medicare members by September 30, 2026. The ANOC outlines any changes to their plan for the upcoming year, including premiums, copays, drug coverage, and benefits.

What to know:

  • Members may start receiving their ANOC packets in late September.
  • ANOCs help members understand how their current plan is changing for 2027.
  • This mailing can prompt questions—be ready to assist members as needed

Important

Remember that CMS dictates that you cannot begin discussing 2027 plan options and collecting Scopes of Appointment until October 1, 2026.

Questions?

If your clients have questions about their ANOC or don’t receive it, they can call Member Services at 866-506-6005 (TTY:711). You can also call the Medicare Advantage Agent Support (MAAS) line at 801-442-7320 or email MAAS@selecthealth.org with any questions.
