Pharmacy Coverage Update: Walmart Prescriptions
Effective August 1, 2025, certain medications will no longer be covered at Walmart pharmacies for Commercial plan members. These drugs are classified as specialty medications by Walmart but do not meet Select Health/Scripius criteria.
To support members during this change:
- A one-time exception allows prescriptions to be filled at Walmart through August 30, 2025.
- Members should speak with their doctor and transfer prescriptions to an in-network preferred pharmacy.
- Those who choose not to switch will need to pay out-of-pocket at Walmart.
Impacted members will receive a letter with details.
Thank you for helping ensure our members continue to receive high-quality care.

Preventing Loss of Advanced Premium Tax Credit Due to Data Matching Issues
We have observed a significant increase in members losing their Advanced Premium Tax Credit (APTC), likely due to unresolved Data Matching Issues (DMI). To prevent clients from having to pay the full premium when they should qualify for APTC, we urge you to assist them in resolving any DMIs as soon as possible.
Please note that our billing team will not be issuing refunds for full premiums pulled through auto payments.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.
Member Payment Summary – A Comprehensive Resource

- On selecthealth.org go to Member Resources then click on Plan Documents. From there enter your search criteria and click search. Open the Member Payment Summary.

HealthEquity HSA Security Updates
HealthEquity is rolling out a major security update requiring all members to transition to passkey login starting in August, with full adoption expected by the end of September. Passkeys, which use built-in device security like Face ID or fingerprint, will replace traditional passwords to enhance account protection and streamline access to benefits through the HealthEquity Mobile and EZ Receipts apps.
What’s changing?
Members must download the appropriate app based on their benefit type and ensure their contact information is current to avoid login issues.
*Please note: A new version of the EZ Receipts app will be released, and users will need to reinstall it to enable passkey functionality.
Support your clients.
Please encourage your clients to help members prepare by promoting app downloads, updating contact details, and engaging with educational materials. Starting June 1, 2025, members are also reminded to regularly review HSA transactions and report any unauthorized activity within 60 days to ensure potential recovery.
Please note: This update applies to members across all commercial plans who utilize HealthEquity.

Vision Plan Reminder
Select Health added a new plan option (Plan G) in 2025 that includes an eye exam through an EyeMed provider. This plan will continue to be offered in 2026.
Plan G offers a:
- $0 copay for an eye exam through an EyeMed provider
- $250 allowance towards frames, lenses, and contacts
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR GROUPS
If a group wants employees to receive both an eye exam and vision hardware from the same provider through EyeMed, they should consider selecting Plan G. With our other plans, employees must get their eye exam from a Select Health provider and obtain vision hardware separately through an EyeMed provider.
