Each issue includes important updates on upcoming agent events, deadlines, product changes, helpful tips, and best practices to support your business and strengthen your partnership with Select Health.


Member Onboarding

Thank you for guiding Select Health members to the right plan and helping them make the most of their benefits. Starting a new health plan can feel overwhelming, so here are a few quick tips you can share with your clients:

  • Create an Online Account: Members can register before or after their plan begins. Once they have an ID number and create an account, they can download ID cards, view plan documents, find in-network providers, save on prescriptions, and set communication preferences. Encourage them to log in or register on our website.
  • Choose a Primary Care Provider (PCP) & Schedule Preventive Care: Building a relationship with a PCP and getting annual checkups helps members stay healthy, manage costs, and improve their overall experience. Direct them to our Find a Doctor and Preventive Care resources for assistance. 
  • Download the Member Guide: Health plans can be complex. Our Member Guides highlight key benefits and resources. Members will receive a link to their guide this month, and most guides are also available under Plan Documents on our website.

Two-Step Verification: What Agents Need to Know

For enhanced online security, Select Health introduced two-step verification. This extra layer of protection helps keep member information secure and accessible. Soon, two-step verification will be required for all members. As an agent, understanding this change will help you answer questions and guide clients through the process.

What Is Two-Step Verification?

Two-step verification adds an additional security step when members log in to their Select Health account. In addition to their password, members will verify their identity using a secondary method—such as a code sent to their phone or email.

Why It Matters

Starting April 1, two-step verification will be required for all Select Health accounts. Members who enable it now will avoid interruptions when accessing their plan information online.

How Members Enable Two-Step Verification

  1. Log in to their Select Health account.
  2. Navigate to “Two-Step Verification” in account settings.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up verification using their mobile number or email.

Tips for a Smooth Setup

  • Confirm contact information: Members need an up-to-date mobile number and/or email for verification
  • Download the Select Health mobile app: This provides secure access to benefits and plan documents from anywhere.
  • Stay alert for suspicious activity: Remind members never to share login details via email or phone.
  • Set it up early: Getting two-step verification in place right away can prevent login issues later and provide peace of mind with an extra layer of protection.
