    Dr. Porter was nice. My frustration is that Dr. Porter recommended an allergy test (which was secondary to the primary reason we came in, which was for food allergies and information about having her try desensitization therapy for that). He suggested testing her for environmental allergies as long as we were there and assured me it was covered be insurance. I even made sure to clarify by telling him the name of our insurance company, to which he replied, "Oh ya, they're pretty good about stufff like this." He then sent us to the lady to do the skin testing, who also assured us this test was covered by insurance, but that the oral drops would not be. She went over a sheet with all the pricing and said while the test was processing, I should call my insurance to help me decide whether I should do the injections or the oral drops based on what my portion for the injections would be. It was then that I discovered that my insurance does NOT, in fact, cover the testing. Sadly, about 10 minutes too late. I was absolutely sick to my stomach. The test is a 500 dollar test. I am just shocked that they would be so careless as to assure me, with out checking, that it would be covered. I trusted that they knew what they were talking about given this is what they deal with every day. I had a knot in my stomach the rest of the afternoon and decided to call the office to discuss the situation. I was not able to reach anyone but left a detailed voice message. I have never heard from anyone. No one has ever returned my call. In addition, when I got to the lobby to leave, I asked the receptionist about a prescription Dr. Porter was going to give my daughter. She said he does them all electronically and that it would be sent to our pharmacy. I told her I had never told anyone a pharmacy so I was doubtful anything had been sent. She seemed annoyed and again assured me it would be sent to our pharmacy listed on our patient records which was the Lehi Costo Pharmacy. I asked her if she would just mind double checking that, and reluctantly she went back to the back and came back saying yup it was sent. I made a special trip to the Lehi Costo Pharmacy, and little to my surprise found that nothing had been sent for her.Overall, just a completely frustrating and even unfair situation. I definitely did not feel like we were treated fairly, or with any real concern for getting the help we had come for. But now we have a 500 dollar charge for a test we didn't even really need.

    My son has ear issues Dr. Porter ordered hearing tests and never followed up with me I finally called 10 days later. His assistant said he still had not looked at the results of my sons hearing test. He didn't not call me back personally just wants me to come in AGAIN [...] and still doesn't help my sons case for his ears.

    Dr. Porter was knowledgeable but he didn't take some of my concerns seriously. I felt I had some knowkedge and experience about my own health that he disregarded. He is professional but was not very warm to me.

    I really like the girls at the front desk and the MA's as well. They are really personable and happy to see me whenever I go in the office.
