Healthy Mashed Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes are known for their healthy nutrients. Don’t forget to garnish your mashed sweet potatoes with parsley or marshmallows for sweetness.

Serves: 8


3 lbs. sweet potatoes

¼ cup butter, melted

¼ cup milk or dairy-free milk

Salt and pepper to taste

Parsley, finely diced (optional)


1. Bring a large pot of water to boil on high heat.

2. Peel sweet potatoes and set aside.

3. Dice potatoes into small chunks and place them in the pot.

4. Cook potatoes for 20 to 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.

5. Drain potatoes over a colander.

6. Remove potatoes and place in a large mixing bowl. Mash the potatoes with a hand masher or electric beater.

7. Pour butter and milk into the mixture and continue mixing until creamy.

8. Season with salt and pepper.

9. Sprinkle with chopped parsley, if desired.
