Stop Problems Before They Start

A little effort today can have big results tomorrow. That’s why we encourage you to be proactive about your health and receive preventive care exams, which many of our plans cover at no cost to you. We can even remind you when you’re due for a checkup and help you schedule an appointment.

Women’s Health

Though making an appointment for a mammogram or Pap test is crucial, it can easily get lost in life’s busy shuffle. To make sure you don’t forget, we call or send friendly reminders to more than 6,000 members each month.

Prenatal Care

Moms-to-be know that preparing for a new baby can be a handful. Fortunately, our Healthy Beginnings prenatal care program can help. Registered nurses work with expecting moms and their providers through every trimester, every question, and every tiny kick. There’s no catch and no cost.

In addition to expert care and support, each enrollee receives a kit of educational materials, including a pregnancy planner and parenting book. Those who sign up by their 16th week of pregnancy may also receive a cash incentive upon program completion. Minimum participation requires just three short phone interviews to make sure you’re on a healthy track.

Cancer Screenings

Many cancers can be successfully treated if found early. We’ll let you know which screenings are recommended and remind you to schedule an appointment.

Vaccinations and Immunizations for All Ages

From chicken pox to flu shots, most vaccinations and immunizations are available at no cost to SelectHealth members.

Well-Child Visits

Your child should visit the doctor eight times before he or she turns one. We’ll send you reminders to keep track of all the important dates.
