As an organization, SelectHealth works in partnership with health and community organizations throughout the state to raise health awareness and promote wellness. The following are examples of some of our activities:
- Family Fitness Festival–SelectHealth offers an annual free, public event that includes activities to promote health, fitness, nutrition, and safety.
- Junior Achievement Student City – SelectHealth joined several community organizations to create a replica “city” at Discovery Gateway. Every year the “city” helps teach 12,000 to 15,000 fifth- and eighth-grade students about careers and the responsibilities of adult life.
- LiVe - SelectHealth and Intermountain Healthcare founded the LiVe campaign, which encourages healthy eating and increased physical activity.
- Top-Rated Health Plan – U.S. News & World Report ranked SelectHealth as the highest-rated health plan of its type in Utah.
- Top-Rated Health System – Modern Healthcare magazine has rated Intermountain Healthcare one of the nation’s top-ranked integrated health systems. Intermountain has rated first in five of the last nine years (2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005) and second four times (2001, 2006, 2007, 2008).
