Payment of Premiums
Premiums are payable in advance to SelectHealth. If premiums are not fully paid within 30 days after the due date, coverage under HIPUtah will be terminated.

Payment Options
Preauthorized Check (PAC): Premium is withdrawn automatically each month from the enrollee's personal checking account. Deductions are made on or about the 10th day of the month depending on which day of the week the 10th happens to fall.
Electronic Check Payment (echeck): The enrollee will receive a monthly e-mail when their premium statement is ready to view. Enrollee will be prompted to click on the link to access their monthly statement. The e-mail will link the enrollee to an Internet site where they can make their monthly payment by electronic check.
Direct Monthly Billing: The enrollee will receive a monthly billing statement and will make payments through the mail. With this option, enrollees are charged their premium plus a $5.00 monthly service fee.
HIPUtah Monthly Premiums
HIPUtah is required by Utah law to evaluate premium rates each year for an effective date of July 1 and/or January 1. Premiums for HIPUtah coverage are calculated based on age and deductible options. Premium increases due to an age category change are effective the first of the month following the birth date.
