Gather your friends, family, and co-workers and form a team to help raise funds in the fight again arthritis. The Arthritis Walk is the Arthritis Foundation’s nation-wide team walk celebration that honors the 625,000 adults and 3,000 children in Utah and Idaho affected by arthritis.

Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature event. It offers everyone in the community an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer. Teams of eight to 15 people camp-out overnight for up to 24 hours, having fun, raising much needed funds to fight cancer, celebrating cancer survivors, remembering those lost to cancer and representing hope that one day cancer will be eliminated. Relay for Life of West Bench (which includes West Valley City, Magna, Taylorsville, and Kearns) will take place on June 12 and 13 at Centennial Park in West Valley. Everyone is welcome to attend, as there will be entertainment, food, bands, etc for the public to enjoy!

SelectHealth is once again a sponsor of the American Diabetes Association’s (ADA) Tour de Cure. The ride is Saturday, June 13 at Rees Pioneer Park in Brigham City. This year’s event offers a new start/finish area at the park, a one-mile family route, and free admission to the park swimming pool. Registration is $25 and day of registration is $30. Registrants receive a commemorative t-shirt and are eligible for other fund-raising incentives from the ADA.

Sign-up to post photos, join a conversation, meet fellow riders, and on April 1 get a sneak preview of this year’s new jersey and shorts design before anyone else. Bryce Canyon Half Marathon & 5k Run/Walk

The 1/2 Marathon starts at Ruby's Inn on Hwy 63, Bryce (elev. 7,652 ft.). The course heads north, then turns east onto National Scenic Byway 12. The route descends through the red rock of Bryce Canyon National Park through the town of Tropic, and ends in Cannonville (elev. 5,800 ft.). The half marathon trail undulates along through pastures and ranches with views of the pink cliffs of Bryce Canyon. Red and white striated rock surround the finish line creating an awe inspiring end to a very fast half marathon.
