SelectHealth has teamed up with MetLife to offer better Group Life and Disability solutions, making benefit decisions easier for Utah’s small and large employers. Options are available for nearly every size and situation.

  • Pooled Risk
    By leveraging our purchasing power, we are able to offer employers competitive rates through participation in a SelectHealth Master Policy. By pooling many smaller employers under a single master policy, groups can take advantage of reduced expenses.

  • Employer-Paid Life and Disability Plans (10+ Employees)
    If you have 10 or more eligible full time employees, MetLife can customize benefits and pricing to suit your unique needs.

  • Voluntary Life and Disability Plans (10+ Employees)
    For groups with 10 or more eligible full-time employees, voluntary plans (employee-paid) may be the right solution. These plans require a minimum participation of 5 enrollees or 25 percent participation, whichever is greater.

  • Special Pre-Packaged Premium Per Employee Plans (2-49 Employees)
    These plans were designed for small groups with 2 to 49 employees. Choose from several convenient monthly "Premium Per Employee" plans offering fixed rates—no need to submit salaries or job titles for a quote. MetLife makes this employer-paid option available in Utah only through SelectHealth.

Like most group insurance policies, MetLife group policies contain certain exclusions, limitations, exceptions, reductions, waiting periods, and terms for keeping them in force. Please contact MetLife for costs and complete details.

Any members who have an existing Group Life and Disability plan with MetLife can call 800-ASK-4-MET (275-4638) 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. An automated voice response system is available 24 hours, seven days a week.
